Ryan Peterson

Associate Attorney

Ryan achieved Dean’s Honors at Washburn University School of Law, graduating in the top 20% of the graduating class of 2016. Along with this distinction, Ryan completed his J.D. degree in only two years (rather than the usual three years), an accomplishment shared by only a very small percentage of law school graduates. His studies focused on Divorce Practice, Family Law and Litigation. He has practiced exclusively family law for over 6 years.

Ryan also graduated from Brigham Young University with a Master's Degree in Theatre Arts in 2002, and a Bachelor's Theatre Arts in 1999. Prior to practicing law Ryan taught Theatre Arts at the community college level, worked as a family law paralegal, and as a State of Utah employment counselor for people with disabilities. These experiences have strongly developed Ryan’s skills in client counseling, case management, and public presentation - each a skill an effective attorney needs.

Outside of work he enjoys watching TED Talks, attending the theatre, having socio-political discussions, making people laugh, and reading to his loved ones in outrageous accents.
